When you turn 47 you have reached midpoint, midway, midsummer, midlife and so on. You may start to relax, because you still have half your life to live and already experienced enough to be taken seriously and to no longer be considered a Geezer. All that give that you will be able to love vor 94 years in health and happiness. But why not, chances are also alive.

Window gazer (Japan)- Non-terminable workers with no tasks. Window viewers ( Japanese 窓 際 族 madogiwa zoku ) are employees in Japanese working life who cannot be dismissed for life due to their contractual employment and for whom there is no longer any task. This can also affect employees who are not eligible for a promotion and for whom, for example, younger colleagues take on the previous tasks. Window viewers are designed to spend their time at work by literally “looking out of the window”. Window-gazers are entrusted with pseudo-tasks, sent on vacation with a reduced salary, subcontracted or offered early retirement. Other expressions for this situation are “in-house unemployment” (企業 内 失業 kigyōnai shitsugyō ) or “ghost workforce” (幽 霊 社員 yūrei shain).
